Exterior Design and Logos
The exterior of the Grand Am VT features a Chicago Maroon and Burnt Orange paint job complete with matching VT lettering, logos, and decals. Subtle enhancements have been made to the body, windows, and other exterior features to cap of the orange and maroon look of the car.
Orange and Maroon Paint Scheme
The main anchor of the exterior is the Chicago Maroon and Burnt Orange paint job. The car's base color is all maroon with white pearls mixed in to create a close match to the helmets worn by the Virginia Tech football team. Accenting the scoops on the SC/T Ram Air hood are two flaring rally stripes painted in Burnt Orange with a subtle matching mix of white pearl.
Painted Body Logos
The remainder of the body is the stock 2001 Grand Am GT1 accented by painted VT HOKIES door logos on each side and HOKIES text on the rear spoiler. Each of these logos is painted in white and orange paint, and the rear spoiler logo is a hand-drawn replica font matching the back of Hokie Vision at Lane Stadium.
Hokie Bird and Virginia Tech Decals
The most noticable feature on the side of the vehicle is the extremely oversized official Hokie Bird logo applied as a vinyl decal in orange, maroon, black, and white. In addition, VIRGINIA TECH text is featured across the front windshield and an oversized athletic VT is displayed on the rear window.
Brakes and Wheels
Four 19" Modular-Concept wheels connect the Hokiemobile to the road finished in polished chrome. To match the look of the car the centercaps, rivets, and oversized lip are all painted in color matched Burnt Orange paint. Behind the wheels are custom painted orange brake calipers.
